In the Heat of the Day

Mountain lions are beautiful, sleek creatures that hunt primarily at night. Their prey, among other things, includes deer, elk and livestock. They also occasionally prey upon smaller animals like rabbits, coyotes, raccoons and small rodents.

In the Heat of the Day depicts a mountain lion resting in her daybed site. These are used for rest, protection from the weather and to raise young. They are often located near a kill site.
