Patti Parrish, a seventh generation Texan, grew up in a ranching family around cowboys and animals. Both are subjects of many of her paintings. She has had a lifelong interest in Texas history and it is evident in much of her work. Oil is her medium of choice. While she focuses primarily on figurative subjects, Patti also creates wonderful still lifes using objects of the Southwest, past and present.

She attended Austin College in Sherman, Texas, where she earned a degree in political science and economics with a minor in art. She has studied under several prominent artists including Dalhart Windberg and Chuck DeHaan.

Patti lives in Parker County, Texas, an area rich in history and natural beauty. Both are constant sources of inspiration. She is a recipient of numerous awards and her work hangs in private and corporate collections throughout Texas.
